Is Acupuncture Right for Me?
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years for the treatment of a host of conditions from chronic pain to depression, and even heart disease and more.
The NCCIH has recognized acupuncture as an effective treatment for lower back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, headaches, and migraines, as well as knee pain.
The World Health organization says acupuncture is an effective treatment for both high and low blood pressure, some gastric conditions, including peptic ulcer, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, dysentery, allergic rhinitis, facial pain, morning sickness, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains, tennis elbow, sciatica, dental pain, reducing the risk of stroke, inducing labor in pregnant women and more.
Of course, it’s taken a long time for western medicine to recognize the benefits associated with acupuncture. But today, we have many highly trained and experienced healthcare practitioners who practice this ancient medicinal technique.
